Terms & Conditions

Updated November 3, 2026

Please read these terms before booking. By booking a class, you agree to them for yourself and agree to share them with everyone attending under your booking. Every student signs our waiver at check-in. For students under 18, a parent or legal guardian must sign instead, either at check-in or in advance using our Parent Consent and Waiver form.

Bookings & Refunds

  • All sales are final. There are no refunds unless we cancel the class or are able to resell your seat.

  • Stay home if sick. Unless we can resell your ticket, there is no refund unfortunately. You can gift or transfer your ticket to your family or friends.

  • Mask is welcome, but not required. Due to close proximity, you are always welcome to wear a mask.

Waiver & Release of Liability

Cooking has risks. Our hands-on classes may involve sharp knives, hot oil, open flames, boiling liquids, hot surfaces and cookware, and floors that can become slippery. These can cause cuts, burns, slips, and other injuries.

Your responsibility. Please follow your chef’s instructions, ask if you’re unsure about a technique, and tell us about any food allergies or dietary needs before class. Our kitchen handles common allergens, including soy, wheat, dairy, sesame, shellfish, fish, eggs, peanuts, and tree nuts. We cannot guarantee any dish is completely free of allergens. Every class is taught in the same kitchen, so trace contact is possible.

Release. To the fullest extent permitted by law, I voluntarily assume these risks. I release and agree not to sue Elaine Sher, LLC, doing business as Dash of Soy, or its owners, chefs, and staff for any injury, illness, or property damage arising from my participation in a class, including injuries caused by ordinary negligence. This release does not apply to gross negligence or intentional misconduct.

Medical care. If I am injured, I authorize Dash of Soy staff to give first aid and to call emergency services. I am responsible for any resulting medical costs.

Guests and transferred tickets. If I book for others or transfer my ticket, I will share these terms with each attendee before class.

Minors. Students ages 8 and up are welcome. In regular public classes, students ages 8–16 must be accompanied by an adult who also joins the class as a paying student; students age 17 may attend on their own. In kid-specific classes, students ages 8–16 may attend on their own. For every student under 18, a parent or legal guardian must sign our waiver either at check-in if they are attending the class, or in advance using our Parent Consent and Waiver form if they are not.

General. These terms are governed by Washington State law. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.
