Asian Flavors
Whether it is home-style Cantonese, Japanese, Thai, Korean, or Indian dishes, our classes are taught by an all-women team of AAPI chefs, designed to normalize and introduce classic flavors from the East to PNW.
Powered by Women. Led by Diversity.
Where Everyone Belongs.
Dash of Soy was founded in 2019 by Elaine Sher, who left the corporate world after 20 years to pursue her passion for sharing easy and delicious homestyle Cantonese food inspired by her hometown, Hong Kong. She has been a guest instructor at The Pantry, PCC Markets, and Book Larder. Dash of Soy has now expanded to an all-women team of AAPI chefs who share the same passion for sharing our heritage and culture through food. Dash of Soy donates regularly to non-profits supporting women, minorities, and LGBTQIA+ communities.

Testimonials
“I arranged the dumpling and mochi classes for our remote work socials via Elaine at Dash of Soy. These classes were exceptional, delicious food and brilliant hosting. I cannot recommend Elaine highly enough, we will definitely use her again :)” - Nadia Stones
“Elaine was a fantastic teacher, and made cooking fun and easy for someone like myself with little experience. Thanks for the wonderful meal and experience, Elaine!!” - David Amiot
“Had Elaine as a teacher for my son's mochi cooking class. I found Elaine to be so incredibly patient, quick to help answer questions, stop to ensure that all questions were indeed answered and accounted for.” - Erick Martin
